Sitting atop the ship, the room provides amazing views by day and a peek at the stars at night. The Rendezvous Lounge lives up to its name, providing us with a great place to meet and enjoy music, as well as a perfect setting for our “Learn” Events. Though, artistically, the Pool Deck may not be the best venue for sound, certain “Enjoy” events flourish around the pool. Currently the Millennium Class ships of Celebrity Cruises provides us with the best opportunity to present our programs. Anchored by an amazing main theater (The Theatre), which seats more than half our guests at one time, those ships have significant additional performance venues (Sky Lounge, Rendezvous Lounge, Foyer, Pool Deck). And, as we saw upon our first inspection of the ships, there is an amazing bonus venue.

With a little imagination, we convert the main dining room (The Cosmopolitan Restaurant) into a performance venue every afternoon and a gorgeous jazz cabaret every evening. On most cruises, a Day at Sea is a time for a good book and a nap. You may do that on The Smooth Jazz Cruise, but you would be missing special interviews, Artist-Hosted Events, pool parties, lunch events, and, of course, great music. Daytime music shows may be presented in any of the music venues (Celebrity Theatre, Rendezvous Lounge or Sky Lounge).
For many years, Jazz Cruises has presented The Smooth Jazz Cruise on Land in St. Louis. This year we are expanding our musical offerings to reflect more of our cruise programs and music. The casual and formal dining areas have been transformed as well, giving the ship a sleeker and more contemporary look and feel. These ships continue to offer a fabulous array of dining choices, spectacular spa facilities and beautiful bars and lounges. And, as a bonus, we can repurpose The Cosmopolitan Restaurant (main dining room) into a cabaret-style, late-night venue that is both unique in the industry and spectacular.

Several ships have very nice main theaters, but, as our guests know, our music is presented throughout the ship, so the size and number of secondary venues is also important. Jazz Cruises strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity post-cruise during their sailing.
